[Zweite seems to tense up a little at the yawn. It's not because it freaked her out or anything, but because she finds it so endearingly adorable that she has to fight the instinct to smile wider. Ugh.]

She must have left while you were asleep.

[A small frown pulls at Zweite's lips.]

She really shouldn't be leaving you alone...

[Her voice is quiet, but definitely audible.]

[Natsuru hears that last part, and immediately rushes to Eve's defense.]

Ah... sh-she can't really take me with her to work, though!

Besides, it's safe here... isn't it?

[She's not familiar with all of Eve's roommates, but she's pretty sure it's a safe place for an adult-turned-child to be on her own.]

[Zweite still doesn't like it, but...

She puts on a smile for the little girl.]

I guess you're right! And at least you have me to keep you company, right?

Yeah!

[She's so awkward about this, but she's glad Zweite is agreeing! She seems nice enough, and it'd probably be kind of dull hanging around this room all by herself for too much longer.]

Oh, I'm Naomi... it's nice to meet you.

[She just realized she has no idea who this girl is. And, well... she doesn't consider giving one of her names that isn't kind of Koriko famous. Not that Zweite's necessarily heard of her...]

Naomi. That's such a cute name!

[Zweite smiles more brightly.]

I'm Zweite. It means 'Second' in German.

[You're lucky, she's never explained her name willingly to anyone.]

[Wow, way to make her... well, keep blushing, really. She's never going to stop at this rate.]

I like yours too! Were you the second daughter or something? Or... is it just one of those names the Witch picks that don't really make sense?

Mine usually means something like "honest beauty"...

[Zweite waves a hand dismissively.]

Nothing so arbitrary! I'm the Second Children! So being second is perfect for me.

[She giggles a little.]

But it's not so pretty as yours.

[Well, she doesn't know what 'Second Children' is supposed to mean, but it makes sense? She guesses?]

I... think yours is pretty, though.

[She fidgets with her hands, blushing intensifying one last time. How do compliments even work?]

... You live here too, Zweite-san?

[She hasn't had a chance to meet many of Eve's roommates, even when staying with her like this.]

[Ahhh, what a sweetie. Zweite actually has to stop herself from pinching Naomi's cheeks, uuugh.

She smiles at her.]

I do! It's not so bad, as long as you're okay with sharing a room.

[That thought draws a huff out of her. She still doesn't like sharing...]

I think it's nice, as long as everyone gets along.

[A nostalgic look crosses her face, as she remembers back to something she very much misses.]

But... I guess it'd be nicer if it was like the room I shared with my sister. Five people is a lot to share one room with...

[...Zweite can't help herself, she reaches out to pet Naomi's head.]

It's okay! I'm sure that some of us will be able to get out and get rooms allllll to ourselves~

[Oh gosh, here goes the blushing again. Blushing and awkward stammering, because how does she even handle this kind of affection?]

I... I dunno if I'd like that...

I think I'd miss staying with Drinker or Eve...

[Zweite blinks.]

...huh. I guess I can kind of see your point. But still! It'd be nice to have at least a few less people per room.

Mm, it'd definitely be quieter, sometimes.

[She smiles again as she agrees.]

At least Holly Heights had real houses...

[Zweite tilts her head a little to one side.]

Holly Heights? Ah! Is that where you're from?

... Kind of, yeah! It's where I lived before here.

I was in Japan before that, though.

[A small frown creases Zweite's forehead.]

Moved around a lot?

[A sad smile.]

I know how that feels! But it's a lot of adventure, right??

[She really doesn't think she's moved around that much. Just from Japan to Holly Heights and then here. But Zweite's not wrong about the adventure part.]

[Zweite smiles wider and then reaches out to grab Natsuru's hands lightly.]

Hey! Why don't you just hang out with me while that girl's out. It'll be fun. I'm always fun!

[The gesture takes her by surprise, and there's the tiniest gasp from the tiny girl.]

Ah-?

[Zweite's smile and enthusiasm are infectious, though, and she finds herself smiling just as brightly.]

Y-... Yeah. Okay!

[Letting go, Zweite claps her hands together.]

Great! So the first thing we should do is get some sweets to snack on!

[She gets up, patting her skirt down.]

What kinds of sweets do you like?

[Natsuru can't help it, the sudden cheerfulness makes her giggle softly to herself.]

It's okay, I like a lot of things! Like, um... cookies... castella... chocolate...

[She goes on in a quiet, low voice, listing some of her favorite sweets. She really isn't particular.]

[Zweite smiles. That makes it easier.]

Okay! Then we can raid San's room and see what he has, and if it's only boring stuff, we can go to the kitchen. Sound good?

[She holds her hand out for the small girl.]

[Well, she can't exactly go out of this room by herself, and she'd be waiting here a long time for Eve to get back. So having someone else to look after her in the meantime sounds like a pretty good idea!

She reaches to take Zweite's hand, though she still looks a little unsure.]

Yeah... if that's okay...

[Zweite squeezes her hand lightly.]

It's definitely okay.

[Then she whispers.]

And if San catches us, we might get a chase. But more likely he'll be boring and sad, so just be prepared for that.

[Well, that does it. Big sistering is super effective against Natsuru, especially when she's tiny. Not that anyone tries it often when she isn't.

She holds on tightly to Zweite's hand as she follows along.]

Is San your friend too?

[She makes a face.]

I guess you could call him my friend. He's stupid, but we're from the same world.

[She swings their hands a little as they walk.]

But we can pick on him as much as we want~

[Natsuru is too innocent for this level of tsun! Even just seeing it directed at someone else! ... Actually, speaking of friends from the same world, this reminds her a lot of Akane.]

Um... I'm glad you have someone like that here.

[Oh. How sweet!! Zweite smiles down at Natsuru.]

I guess I'm pretty glad too. Even if he is the second worst person that could have followed me here!

[She's so awkward in the face of this tsun, but she tries.]
